I’m Tnah Louise, known for my nurturing presence in postpartum care over the last 12 years. My journey began when I gave birth to my first son on a beach in Costa Rica 29 years ago, followed by the sacred water births of my three sons in our Echo Park home. Raising four sons has been my life's tapestry, and as they’ve grown into adulthood, my dedication to postpartum care has deepened.
After an unexpected transition from my early career in fashion and children’s photography, I found my true calling while photographing a retreat for birth workers in Ojai. This experience opened my heart, and I knew then I would devote myself to supporting new mothers as a birth worker. My expertise is grounded in global training—studying with midwives in Mexico, Morocco, Malaysia and learning from practitioners worldwide. I specialize in postpartum wellness, offering a holistic blend of Mother Roasting services, including nourishing meal preparation, placenta encapsulation, ceremonial bathing, 'closing of the bones', and the sacred art of belly binding to name a few. My methods focus on nurturing both the body and spirit of the new mother. I offer comprehensive postpartum services tailored to the unique needs of each mother, whether through home visits or meal deliveries. My clients’ experiences speak for themselves— please read their testimonials on my Yelp page, where you'll see how I bring profound healing, comfort, and joy into their lives and take pride in only receiving five star reviews. I also extend my passion for empowering young women through my Sacred Menarche program, guiding them in embracing the significance of their menstrual cycles and feminine power. This ceremonial rite nurtures self-awareness and confidence in young girls as they transition into womanhood. Rooted in my Mexica/Yaqui and Irish heritage, I integrate ancient traditions and modern expertise into my care, ensuring a transformative experience for every mother. My commitment to this sacred work continues to expand, now offering postpartum services in France and embracing the sacred cycle of life as I train to become a death doula. If you're seeking a deeply connected postpartum journey, I’m here to walk alongside you, providing compassionate care and nourishment every step of the way. xoxo, Tnah Louise |
