A Sacred Passage creates celebrations that reintroduce the act of ceremony, making way for important passages that allows us to take time to stop, connect with each other and recognize these seasons within nature that also exist in our lives. Much like the ancient cook fire ( gathering round a fire), A Sacred Passage provides a meeting place where we come together to nurture one another, not just physically, but spiritually through meaningful connection. Taking time to honor changes in our life through a recognition or celebration brings a rich and meaningful acknowledgment that can assist us on our journey through major life transitions.
From Maiden To Mother Honoring the Power of A Blessingway Ceremony
How can your life be different if there was a circle of sisters, aunts, a place to come together, to be, to return to as women? Through deep connection, we are asked to come together in support of the mother to be as she faces her fears and prepare her for her journey. A Mother Blessing seeks to help us remember our woman’s wisdom, while honoring this transition in her life through creating a safe environment and weaving a web of support among those women she respects, looks up to and values. Here a woman can explore the challenges and joys that lie before her on her journey into motherhood, release fears and blockages she may be feeling about birthing. This celebration is different from a baby shower, rather its main focus is on nurturing the mother to be, honoring her changing body, filling her with confidence, and empowering her as she prepares for birth.
working with the next generations
We must honor the sacredness of our children, they are our future. An integral part of rites of passage is the understanding of the interconnectedness of all things. When our children are cared for, they become creative adults, able and willing to give back to their family and community. With the acknowledgment and encouragement of the adults who love and support them, they can embark on this journey finding their unique path.
At this time our children are being taught consumerism, encouraged to relate to the world through what they won and how much it costs. Our children are learning to measure things, but not value them. We have a mission and it takes a community to come together in support for our future generations.
It is our calling here at A Sacred Passage to bring renewal of community back into our everyday lives. For our young people to stand on their own two feet, adults outside of the family are needed as teachers, role models, and mentors. These rites of passage rituals celebrate the child and honor their growth as we guide them from their phases through adolescence. It is vital that we embrace and celebrate these times so that their maturation reflects life lived fully with hope and self love. Whether it is creating a celebration that honors a young man's Hero's Journey or the young girl that becomes a woman who now carry the eggs of creation, we create a ritual, a celebration that gives them pride and confidence as they move into a more self realized person.
Letting Go Releasing Fire Ceremony
We offer support to those in need going through transitions, feeling the weight of loss, emotional baggage, or stuck habits. Through burning/release rituals we can help you transform burdens from the past so you can feel lighter and ready to begin anew. The lively fire changes everything with light and heat, turning what can no longer be into flame, smoke, then ash. It is a powerful outlet to let the old go. These ceremonies take a lot of energy, one must really come to the supportive circle with openness, vulnerability, and a good idea of what needs to be let go of. Once this is done we can then be thankful for the lessons, knowing it is time to move on.
