MANTEADA ( REBOZO BODY ALIGHNMENT)
A traditional Mexican healing technique for relaxation and alignment.
The Manteada is an ancestral practice described by midwives as “body rocking on a blanket or shawl with precise rhythmic movements.” Using a rebozo (woven shawl), your body is gently swayed side to side, creating deep relaxation and release.
BENEFITS:
- Supports realignment of internal organs after birth
- Helps the womb return to its natural position (“collecting the womb”)
- Relieves tension in the waist, hips, and back
- Brings emotional release and a sense of grounding
- Can be used during labor to ease pain and create comfort
A SACRED TRADITION:
Passed down by Mexican midwives (parteras), the Manteada honors the wisdom of the womb and provides both physical and emotional liberation.
