Rooted in the traditions of Mexican midwives, the Cerrada or “Closing of the Bones” is a profound ceremony offered around the 40th day postpartum, honoring the completion of the sacred fourth trimester.
It is also a healing ritual for mothers who have experienced loss, abortion, or any life passage that calls for closure and renewal.
